Perfect JBay for Day 7
If you got to see today's LIVE action from round three and four of the Billabong Pro, you saw the best day of world tour surfing this year.
The waves were pumping. Supertubes got better and better all day as the swell kicked, the wind went to the perfect direction and the world's best surfers lit it up.
Slater went close to topping Taylor Knox's top heat score with a 19.14 and then backed up in round four with an 18.60. Adriano De Souza is surfing true to his current world number four status and caused a major upset by ousting an inform Bobby Martinez. Freddy P is blazing and Bede is looking as deadly as ever.
Word from Surfline is that this swell is going to stick around for tomorrow and although the wind direction could prove a little whiffy, contest director Mike Parsons is calling tomorrow could be the final day.
It's going to be one hell of a showdown because the likes of Mick, Taj, Parko and Jordy are in fourth gear and getting ready to it into fifth.
