Jordy beat John John Florence in a very tight final.
Smith got off to a flying start with a wave that earned him a score of 9.33.
However, Florence hit right back with a wave that scored 8.60.
After getting a second high scoring ride of 7.27, Florence edged into the lead, but Jordy kept his composure and got a back up wave worth 7.17 to win the final and claim his first victory of the World Championship tour since the 2013 Billabong Rio Pro title in May last year.
