Sleep, eat, surf, repeat!The essence of J-bay and J-bay Surftrips;)

Imagine waking up everyday with a view like this. You can drink a coffee on the boardwalk and prepare yourself mentally for the surf session you are about to have or you can just enjoy watching the other surfers in the water. Both options will give you a good feeling.
J-Bay has a lot to offer for every kind of surfer, whether you are a beginner or a more advanced surfer. J-Bay has numerous surf spots all over town: Albatroz, The Point, Tubes, Supertubes, Boneyards, Magnatubes, Secrets, Kitchen windows, etc. You can find most of the locals at Supertubes or point: Dylan Lightfoot, Remi Petersen, Sean Holmes, Carel Olivier, Bruce Gold, Elke shoeman, etc.
This town and its lovely people creates a chilly relaxing surfing vibe. You feel, smell, taste the ocean all over town. Definitely a place worth a visit. You have numerous cosy restaurants and bars, where people welcome you with open arms.
The competition, The J-Bay 2014 Open of Surfing, that will take place in July is a big surfing event organised by ASP. All the famous riders from all over the world will come to J-Bay and they will ride the famous waves of Supertubes. There will also be a side event during the J-Bay open, the J-Bay winterfest. Those ten days will be the best ten days of your life: surfing and having fun.
Surfing is all about fun and having fun in the water. The feeling you get when you catch a wave, stand up and of course surf that wave is indescribable. People keep on surfing because that feeling keeps them going, that feeling gives them a positive rush. It’s feels like the ocean wants to pass on its energy to the surfers in the water.
